The accountant who answers the phone.

Zero Tax does the books, the payroll filings, the tax plan, and the returns for trade and service businesses. One team, one flat monthly fee, and a straight answer when you call.

Who we are

Who is behind Zero Tax?

Greg Neilsen founded Zero Tax. Greg holds a law degree and a master’s in tax law (LLM), and he won the 2017 American Bar Association National Tax Challenge. He also owns and runs small businesses, so he knows payroll day and a slow month from the owner’s side of the desk.

Why trade and service businesses?

Because they carry the most complicated books on the smallest back office. Trucks to depreciate, materials taxed at the counter, crews on payroll, subs on 1099s, deposits that land months before the work.

Most of that gets handled by a bookkeeper who has never seen a job site and a preparer who shows up once a year. We built the firm around that gap. See the trades we serve.

How do we work?

  1. Fifteen minutes on the phone. Greg asks about your business, your entity, and what has gone wrong with the numbers so far.
  2. A written proposal within a couple of days. What we fix first, what it costs, and what changes for you.
  3. We take the numbers. You take the jobs. Books closed monthly, quarterly tax planning, payroll and sales tax filings on time, and returns prepared from books that were right all year.

Where are we?

Our office is at 615 Channelside Dr, Ste 207-119, in Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa. Clients are welcome at the office. Most of the work happens by phone, email, and video, so we work with businesses across Florida and beyond.

Read our story in the Tampa Bay Business Journal: “The accountant who always answers.”

What does it cost?

One flat monthly fee covers bookkeeping, tax preparation, and planning. Plans start at $750 a month. The fee is set after we have seen the business and the state of the books, and you get it in writing before any work starts.
